Shopping

A boudoir shoot is the PERFECT excuse to splurge on a look that makes you feel drop-dead gorgeous. The best way to find your perfect fit is to do a fitting at a local store like The Velvet Box here in Dallas.

If you’re more of an online shopper, there are plenty of amazing options to shop from including Amazon, Torrid, and Adore Me!

Showing Off

Everyone’s style is unique but there are some looks that are flattering on just about anybody.

For example, never underestimate the power of a good bodysuit! The right fit will pull our eye toward all your favorite curves. If you prefer two-piece sets, I’m a big supporter of the high-waisted panty look for a more elegant retro style.

Covering Up

Looking for options to stay more covered up? Have no fear! I always keep a studio robe and oversized men’s white shirts handy. Draping something loose over your body is perfect for a relaxed and sexy look.

Color

Your outfit color choice can have a big impact on what your photos express about you so experiment!

For a more dark and mysterious look, you can never go wrong with black. Bright colors like red, pink, and white are perfect if you’re looking to make a bold sultry statement. For a softer look, neutral colors and pastels like navy blue, baby pink or cream will be just what you need.

Jewelry

Planning on bringing jewelry? Keep it simple! Limiting jewelry to simple pieces that really mean something to you adds some personalized detail and doesn’t distract from the star of the photo - you!

Heels

I recommend bringing 1 or 2 pairs of heels that match your outfit. They’re a great way of making your legs look longer in photos. And don’t worry, you won’t actually have to walk in them!
