What Is The Point Of Studio Boudoir Photography?

Some of my clients book their boudoir photoshoots to mark a milestone in their life like a birthday, marriage, job promotion, or even a divorce, but you don't need an excuse to treat yourself to boudoir!

Boudoir is for EVERYONE. You deserve to celebrate yourself just as you are with a truly transformative boudoir session that'll leave you feeling royally pampered, beautiful, and comfortable in your own skin.

This experience is an act of self-love. Boudoir helps you shake off those negative thoughts and reignite the flame within yourself.

It's easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and forget to take care of yourself, but a boudoir photography shoot reminds you that you are worthy of the same effort, energy, and love you give to others.

A boudoir session is a liberating experience that helps you step out of your comfort zone and into your power.

What Outfits Should I Wear For A Boudoir Photoshoot

Choosing your outfits is one of the most exciting parts of a studio boudoir photoshoot!

There are lots of clothing and prop options for you to choose from - you're not just limited to lingerie!

I’m here to coach you through the process, so we’ll have a phone call where we talk about your personal style and body type and what you’re comfortable with.

I’ll use that info to create personalized recommendations for clothing that will flatter you, accounting for every detail from hair length to the color of your toe polish!

Choose 3-5 outfits for your session and keep in mind that we may not have time to shoot every look.

If you still don't know what to wear, bring all the clothing, accessories, and props you like and we'll help you decide at the studio!

How Do I Pose For Boudoir Photography?

Very few of my clients have prior experience posing for boudoir photography - but that’s why I’m here!

I’ve worked exclusively as a boudoir photographer for years, so not only do I know the best angles to use and the best poses for your body type, but I know how to help you make it look easy.

I’ll highlight what you love most about yourself, whether that’s eyes, lips, hips, or curves!

By focusing on your favorite features, we'll create incredible images that accentuate your best assets and divert attention from anything you want to shy away from.

Here Are Some Of My Favorite Clothing Recommendations:

  • Lingerie in your favorite color
  • Corsets
  • Button-down shirts
  • Oversized sweaters
  • High-heels
  • A leather jacket
  • Push-up bra
  • Anything lacy
  • Your favorite pair of jeans
  • Garter belts

Pose 1: Lying Down on a Bed or Sofa

Lying on your back with your lips slightly parted gives a sultry yet intimate quality.

Pose 2: Using a Chair, Stool, or Swing as a Prop

Turn an everyday household object into SO much more!

Pose 3: Leaning Backward

Lean back while supporting yourself with a prop or your elbow.

Putting your hand in your hair or bending your knees adds some extra drama to the images.

Pose 4: Face Away From the Camera

This is the best pose to highlight your curves and get those stunning booty shots!

Pose 5: Black & White Imagery

Artful and classic!
